What You Will Be Doing
- Design and implement new NLP and ML-driven features
- Work on topics ranging from learning to rank, click and attention modelling to semantic matching and natural language querying
- Work with senior technical leads and product management to prioritise, design and deliver new features that use the power of modern information retrieval practices
- Promote knowledge share and collaboration in a distributed team
- In collaboration with project lead, incubate and grow a virtual team
- Create and maintain testing and development environments
- Working with the community on bugs and performance issues and assisting out support engineers with tougher customer issues
What You Will Bring
- Industry experience in information retrieval, building search systems at scale, in a role such as search relevance engineer, search data scientist, or similar
- Experience in academia or industry with modern information retrieval topics and techniques, such as learning to rank, click modelling, search evaluation, and question answering
- Demonstrated data science and machine learning fundamentals, being able to apply research to real-world problems in search
- 5+ years experience Java / C++ / Python
- Self motivated, collaborative style, open communicator, experience distributed
- Good attention to detail and highly organized
- Real passion for data, analysis and achieving excellence
