What you will do:

  • Design, develop, drive: Automate manual processes with robotics and embedded systems. Design and build advanced imaging devices, develop robotic software applications, care for maintenance, configuration, and testing.

What you will learn:

  • Most of the things we do have never been done before. Every day we are scaling and tuning the core platform and create tools to launch new greenfield applications.
  •  Cutting edge technology stacks and the drive to always think about the next thing to incorporate without getting bloated.
  •  Our first-generation robotics prototype is already being deployed and tested in several locations across Germany on a small scale. At the same time, we are getting ready to scale up for the purpose of production and large scale deployment. 
  • In our road map, we envision to solve many more challenging problems within the domain of automated car inspections. New devices are on the horizon, for which we are continuously testing and integrating mature and emerging technologies, and this is why we are looking for you.
  •  Our approach to development is agile, so we aim at producing incremental improvements over existing solutions and releasing them often. Combining the different life cycles of HW and SW development in a fast-paced environment is a challenge in itself and can require very creative approaches

What you should bring: 

  • You are very smart and can understand complex problems swiftly
  • You have 2+ years of professional experience in a team developing products that involve both hardware and software.
  • You have 5+ years of professional experience in programming in an object oriented language (python, c++, ).
  • You have professional experience in ROS. 
  • You have professional experience and predilection for building robotic systems, IoT devices and/or embedded platforms. You know how to develop and troubleshoot those systems.
  •  You bring experience with perception sensors, especially cameras and imaging sensors.
  •  You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in the English language.

You get bonus points for: 

  • You like Linux shells and you have had recurring professional touchpoints with HTTP, TCP/IP or UDP. 
  • You know what SPI, I2C and serial/UART are. 
  • You have working experience with CAD tools for 3D modeling and with PCB design. 
  • You gave working experience with camera calibration and computer vision libraries. 
  • You have experience with manufacturing processes.
  •  Working proficiency in the German language would be a plus.
