What you will do:
- Draw on your extensive industry experience to steer your team toward the most impactful scientific work
- Build machine learning models to optimize key areas of our business
- Handle large amounts of data, including data mining, optimization and analytics
- Partner with engineering and product teams to drive actionable data insights and solutions from large and rich datasets
- You ask and tackle crucial analytical questions with a view on driving product impact
- Provide analytical perspective to discussions and lead priorities within your team
- Translate business needs to technical requirements and experimental design
What you should bring:
- The curiosity and methodologies of a researcher with academic experience in a quantitative research field
- Deep experience with common analytical tools using R, or Python (we use python)
- Hands-on experience with a broad range of machine learning techniques such as random forests, deep learning, and good old regressions, and the ability to identify the appropriate technique in different scenarios
- Experience in performance driven creative collaboration, setting technical workflows and training junior peers
- Communication and visualisation skills that enable you to present findings in a clear and unambiguous way
- Deeply understand the business challenges and how to transform them into solvable data problems
- Being a team player comes naturally to you and you communicate fluently in English
