We are looking for a talented and experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and develop amazing games with us. You’ll be part of a self-driven, interdisciplinary team where you’ll be able to have an impact on our live game. You’ll be designing, implementing and maintaining our online service and architecture using a modern tech stack to support a flawless game experience for our growing community.
As a Senior Backend Engineer you will:
- Design, implement and maintain our online services
- Support the team to build a robust framework for future products
- Actively participate in team efforts by making recommendations on improving product quality as well as group productivity
- Investigate technical issues impacting the game during development and live service
- Mentor your team members to drive technical excellence
- Write and maintain software system documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as Backend Engineer
- Fluent in C# and C++
- Distributed systems and networking experience (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Experience designing HTTP REST APIs
- Relational database development experience (e.g., MySQL, Postgres)
- NoSQL database experience (e.g. Redis)
- Passionate about videogames
Desirable skills
- Game development experience
- Scripting languages experience (e.g. Python)
- Linux development experience
- Microservices architecture experience (Docker, orchestration)
- Messaging middleware experience (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
