Our PHP engineers play a central role in the development of a variety of products, overcoming a range of various challenges. Taking full ownership for products: you are designing it, you are building it, you are running it, you are monitoring it. We are on the state that quality is the most important for us. We are actively testing code and performance, daily improving our environment by increasing automation and introducing new tools.
We are developing a micro services every week following hexagonal architectural pattern. We admit that we have legacy code, but in 90% of cases we extract business domain and migrating to new shiny microservice. We are fully dockerised on development and production (infrastructure as a code, thanks to Terraform). We are following of DevOps practices thats allow us to have a few deployments per day. More about us: php 7.*, newest Symfony, fully on AWS. EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ELK stack, Jenkins and more.
What you will do:
- Lead an agile team of senior crossfunctional developers, always aiming to bring our diverse tools to excellence
- Design software architecture and implement critical software tools for our different platforms
- Constantly improve yourself by learning new technologies and concepts following best industry practices
- Create efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules, including responsibility for clean and reusable code
- Take technical responsibility for projects within an international environment
What you will learn:
- How to deal with an expert team, building technical solutions and confronting them with production traffic
- How to work in a high scalable environment and with complex code, with a world-wide team
- Deliver features end-to-end, from product decisions until deployment to live production
What you should bring:
- A Computer science degree (or similar) or relevant professional experience in web engineering
- 5+ years of work experience with PHP backend development, OOP and MVC frameworks, like Symfony
- First experience of leading a team of at least 6 developers
- Passion for “clean code” and quality standards, like SOLID principles and design patterns
- Good English communication skills
