Your Duties
- Implementation of complex requirements as part of a development team in an agile environment
- Continual development and documentation of high-availability applications for processing high volumes of financial transactions
- Design and implementation of new product functionalities, modules, services and workflows
- Constant evaluation, optimization and enhancement of existing functionalities & processes during ongoing software development processes (refactoring)
- Continuous quality assurance during the development process (test-driven development, code reviews, unit tests)
- Support of release management, as well as the analysis and troubleshooting of production problems
Your Profile
- University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or several years of equivalent work experience
- Several years of experience in object and component-oriented software development (Java/Java EE and/or C++) with database-assisted systems in various operating environments (Linux)
- Very good knowledge of the Spring framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring WS/Batch, Spring Data, Spring Security, Hibernate, Apache Camel, JUnit, as well as standard frameworks in the context of Java, Web Services, REST, XML and JSON
- Sound knowledge of PL/SQL and practical experience with Oracle and/or MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra) and ideally experience with business-critical applications (online/batch), as well as with frameworks for data streaming and big data like Kafka and Hadoop
- Ability to quickly gain an understanding of complex architectures (SOA, microservices)
- Safe on the Linux command line
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and you enjoy day-to-day communication in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience with agile software processes and technologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
